Houston 2050

We want to hear your ideas for the future of Houston!

These ideas will contribute to the vision presented in the Houston 2050 Place Plan

What is a Place Plan?

Local Place Plans were introduced by the Scottish Government as a means of bringing local voices into the planning system, allowing community-led ideas to influence decision making. Local Place Plans focus on themes that relate to planning policy e.g. building use, land use, access to services, movement. They identify the key opportunities for impactful change by offering the opportunity for a community-led, collaborative approach.

The Houston 2050 Place Plan

The ‘Houston 2050’ Place Plan will describe community ambition for development over the next 25 years, covering both short and long term aims. It is being delivered by the architecture studio New Practice, on behalf of the Houston Community Council. In order to bring together this vision document, we first need to engage with the Houston community.
